    I will do the same for mine then and see how it goes. Mine has the reverse lookup issue for windows clients as well as mac clients. Really frustrating!!

    i have unchecked the box for Dynamically update DNS A and PTR records for DHCP clients that do not request updates, now macs dont register in DNS at all so this doesn't really make things any better

    I just found this link.

    If they are reserved in dhcp does that count or is that the same as static ip addresses ?

    They do count if configured like that as they are grabbed off the DHCP server and this triggers the DNS update if it is configured to do so.
