    Moving a GPO

    Hi All,

Is it possible to move a GPO from one OU to another?

Basically I'm just setting up a "test" OU and if it works ok I want to move everything, mainly software installs, to an existing one and was just wondering if that was possible and how to do it?

    Cheers
    Rich

Right-click on the OU and choose 'add existing GPO' then choose the GPO from the list. When you're ready you can remove the GPO from the old OU without it having any effect on the new OU.

Sure, GPOs are not tied onto a OU to the exclusion of other so you just have to assign the GPOs you have been testing to another OU by right clicking that OU and choose to assign an existing GPO and select the desired GPO.
