Having a strange problem.
All students are on a single mandatory profile. Which has been working fine for some time. Just recently some students cannot get onto the internet. It is not PC specific as I have seen the problem. On the same PC one student can get on the web another other cant. I have removed the local profiles created when logging on, rebooted the PC and tested again, same problem.
There are defo using the same mandatory profile. I have run gpresult for the PC / user and cannot see anything different between the results.
App data, my docs, and start menu are redirected. Windows 2003 server and XP clients
I am at a loss at the moment. Any pointers
Cheers

20th November 2009, 11:24 AM #3 I had a similar problem a while ago. What proxy / firewall are you using? I use SmoothWall and I found that the Time was not in synch with the main DC and LDAP stopped working. Maybe same problem maybe not but if you have SW or a non windows based firewall / proxy it is worth checking.
also maybe a corrupt GPO, try creating a new OU with anew GPO with just the connection redirect in then move an affected account in there and see what happens.
