    GPO's not working...

    Am i missing something...

GP managment, selecting where i want the Software to go. New GPO, Im going into GPO editor...comp configurations > Software installation > pointing it to the package.

I restart a machine. It says its installing them, but when i go onto the machine they're not there....

Any help...need to get blooming ActivPrimary installed before the end of the day!! (i followed Grumbles MSI creation for that, but this is also not working for an MSI that was already created )

Check the event log on the machine to which you're installing.

also check the security and share permissions on the share you're installing from, probably best to give 'domain computers' access

Also check the same group has run permissions on the gpo

Checked event viewer. It said it might not be possible to get access to the file, so i added Domain computers...im now getting an installation error? Is that an MSI problem?

Did you check share permissions too?

Yeah, checked the share permissions too. I've added domain computers to that too...

does the msi run properly if you double click it to install manually?

Try changing both sets of permissions to 'Everyone' temporarily. If that works then it's a permissions problem and you can work backwards to find out what exact permissions you need.
