We are going to trial the use of Blackberry devices at our place, which means another fun server install!
Has anyone ever installed the 'Blackberry Enterprise Server'? The installation booklet I've just been looking through made my head spin quite a bit!
We have a Novell Groupwise 7 mail server running on a Novell 6.5 server, but from what I could understand the Blackberry suite needs to be installed on a Windows server?

15th July 2009, 03:35 PM #2 Yup, windows server. No idea if it plays nicely with Groupwise.
Top tip: 99% of device troubleshooting will involve you doing 3 things.
1) Delete the account on the BES
2) Recreate the account on the BES
3) Take the battery out of the device and replace.

From a very bad experience I had, I'd advise configuring the blackberries with POP access

13th August 2009, 01:19 PM #5 I've installed a few BES boxes.
Simple install.
Works OK with Exchange.
BES seems to like alot of service packs............I installed SP6 for BES 4.1 the other day.
Troubleshooting side of things, its simple enough.
Also do NOTE, BES is not supported on any Server 2008 box yet, nor 64-bit. (Someone please correct me if I am wrong)
