I had thought about steam, but the problem, as with most cumbrian schools, is the fact we go through a proxy server. And in order to download steam, it needs to go through the proxy. As a result you can install the steam client through the web browser but when you go to download any games....
Unless you know of a way to make steam look at a proxy?

I remember @ my first school I setup a Unreal Tournament 99 server on an old P4 Toshiba box, sat in the corner of the server room - had loads of kids on there, those were the days
