    data protection manager 2007

    i have got a protection with all my servers in it but i need to add a folder to be backup its c:\windows\system32\dhcp as you can see im trying to backup my dhcp database. i get this error

    Looks like a protection mechinisum due to the fact that not all of the required data is stored in the dhcp directory restoreing it could corrupt the system that it is restored to. It recommends adding a system state backup which will include this folder and all of the nessisary bits to restore it properly along with the rest of the system state.

    thats strange becasue i all ready have a system state backup every friday.


    the only other option is to have a ntbackup scrtip run every thursday and save it to our ict support drive but its not really appropriate. any other ideas

    Its included in the system state backup anyhow why do you need it backed up again seporatly in a less than fully restorable form? You could just schedule another system state one for thursday.
