Is there any way to automatically allow active x controls such as quicktime, citrix to run without the user having to accept it. I am running xp pro and ie7 and local profiles. I have looked at the add-ons part but can't seem to find anything.
Any help would be appreciated

Computer Configuration and User Configuration, in the Administrative Templates\WindowsComponents\Internet Explorer\Internet Control Panel\Security Page\Local Machine Zone
Download Signed ActiveX Controls - Enable (Don't select Prompt)
Download UnSigned ActiveX Controls - Enable

If you want to be more selective, it is possible, though takes a bit more work. See Adding Administrator Approved Controls to Group Policy for detailed instructions on creating your own ADM template to allow particular controls to be run - and don't be put off by the wordiness of the instructions, it's actually much easier than it looks.
