Exchnage 2003 - External Email addresses!!!
Hi
I am trying to create a Distribution List on Exchange so that we can send email to external email addresses.
So far i have created a Distribution Group - Global and added internal email addresses to it. Then i created contacts but this time added SMTP email addresses as i have few people that are not in our organisation/
The problem i am facing right now is that all emails that are sent to this distribution list are bouncing back!!! No idea why and this is the following error that i get:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.
Subject:
Sent: 28/01/2009 11:21
The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:
CN=Tina Roberts,OU=Governors,OU=User Accounts,OU=Work,DC=work,DC=local on 28/01/2009 11:21
The e-mail address could not be found. Perhaps the recipient moved to a different e-mail organization, or there was a mistake in the address. Check the address and try again.
<work-srv01.work.local #5.1.0>
Any ideas as to why this is happening?

The wierd thing is that i have also added some internal email addresses that are on exchange to this distribution list and obviously they never bounce back with the NDR!!!!
I have 8 external email addresses/contact added to this distributin list but they all bounce back!!!!

Exchange 2003
Think i craked it.... I recreated the external contacts as mail enabled contacts and they seem to work now....
MY only problem now is i dont want those contacts to be visible on the global address list? Is that possible?
