Just about to set up a new 2003 server on the admin domain. The current server down there is running 2000. I want this new one to run in parallel and be a DC as well with replication with the 2000.
Is it just a case of
adprep /forestprep
adprep /domainprep
on the Windows 2000 DC, and then install 2003 on the new one and join it to the domain?
Is there a guide somewhere I can follow for this?
Cheers

Ive decided I should probably just upgrade the existing 2000 server to 2003 first. Is this fairly simple? It is our Phoenix and FMS server, so dont want to mess it up.
I would leave the exisitng 2000 DC inplace and add the new 2003 DC but if you want to upgrade the 2000 box the article below will help. It gets complicated if you are also running exchange on the same box though.

thanks.
Theres no exchange on any of those servers so it should be ok.
