Server 2003 USB Printer problems
Hi all,
I've got a HP desk-jet USB all in one and am having problems sharing it on the server. I plug it in via USB and nothing happens, when I go through the add new printer wizard is also doesn't pick it up. I am connecting to the server Via remote access, could this be the issue? might have to dig a monitor and keyboard out! Thanks in advance

Can you confirm if the printer is detected on another system - could be a faulty port / printer / cable / no driver ?

You will almost certainly have to install the 2003 drivers for the printer but it should be able to see other USB devices. Are the ports on the front or the back of the server, have you tried the ports on the back. Also make sure someone hasn't disabled the USB ports in BIOS for some reason.
