This little hack will enable you to boot W8 without having to enter your password when the machine starts. It should be particularly handy for tablet users where, TBH, it's a pain to do so each time. This does not disable any password prompts when using W8 such as when the screen saver is activated or it has woken up.
- Start Windows 8 and logon
- Press the Windows key + 'R'
- Type 'netplwiz' into the run field and press enter
- Untick 'Users must enter a username and password to use this computer'
- Click 'OK'
- Reboot to check
Simples
*Very handy for me as I used a complicated password that takes forever to type in on a tablet!
