64 bit version works on citrix xenserver & it can join a domain.
1. Create a Win7 x64 Virtual Machine, and select the Win8 Preview ISO to boot from. Follow the wizard all the way to the last screen, but untick the option to start up the VM.
2. Connect to the XenServer console, and run the following command to find out the UUID of the VM that’s just been created.
xe vm-list name-label=win8vm
^where “win8vm” is the name of the VM
This will give back some info, and one of the bits of info is the UUID.
Then run this command.
xe vm-param-set uuid=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx platform:viridian=false

My favorite Windows 8 feature(s) to date.
Hidden at the bottom of the general settings menu in the new look control panel are these:
reset CP app.jpg
How much time and effort will this save us![]()

Smartboard does not work well on this version...
Allow me to list the errors
Drivers do not work properly, had to install 3 times before it recognised them
Calibration of the board has to be done every time it is connected
Pens do not work
Image on the board is awful as the image is compressed (mainly due to projector. but still an issue)
NB
Could not get a Promethian board to work with it, but only tried once.
I am sitting in my brothers school at the minute and he has both here. As its only a developer version, I am not too worried as it may be fixed in later versions.

I've created a new thread here: How to refresh or reset Windows 8 to demonstrate these two features in action.
