I've had a look and can't see this posted anywhere else. Has anyone else had an issue with playing media in internet explorer and then it stopping when you move to another application or screen?
I've set a radio program playing on bbc iplayer. As soon as go to the metro start menu the play back stops. It stops if I change to mail or the calendar or any of the other open applications I have running.
I've tried music play back through the music player and that works no matter what you open but media from a webpage stops. Anyone else come across this?

12th November 2012, 10:09 AM #3 I've just tried the pop out player and it still doesn't work. As soon as I press start or go to another open window, playback stops.

12th November 2012, 10:13 AM #4 Metro apps are put into a 'suspended' state when not active, so all their processing is paused. Engineers can have bits active still, but the BBC haven't done this obviously.

12th November 2012, 10:17 AM #5 @localzuk thanks. That's a shame, hopefully they'll sort it soon. I'm getting around it by 'pinning' it or how ever you'd like to say it, to the right hand side of my screen so it's still running whilst i'm doing other things.

13th November 2012, 11:50 AM #6 One work around, is to open iplayer in internet explorer from the desktop. It then runs in the background while you do what ever you need to do. Both on the desktop and on the metro apps/start
