Unhappy Windows 8 HDD Controller driver?

    Hi All,

I'm trying to install Windows 8 on my Zoostorm PC (P8H61-MX) and it keeps asking for a 'Media Driver' on Setup. I presume it is looking for a HDD Controller driver, so I have tried all the drivers which came on a CD with the PC and on the Zoostorm website with no joy.

Anyone know which driver I need?

    Cheers

    Scott

Sometimes believe it or not, it is asking for the driver for the CD drive (yes i know you already booted off it), this is a problem windows 7 gave me (at home)

If it is a SATA CD drive then go into the bios and turn it onto IDE mode.

Or maybe a SD card reader in the front of your PC?

Which version of Windows 8 are you trying to install?

Windows 7 and 8 both come a generic AHCI driver. Switching to IDE mode will only slow things down unnecessarily.

The preview version fo Windows 7 didn't have a working generic one, well didn't work for my SATA drive.
