save ~2gb space after windows 7 SP1 install
Disclaimer: Do not do this if you wish to remove SP1. This changes system files so any breaking of systems is at your own risk. :)
If your happy with your win 7 sp 1 install you can remove the backup files created (the winsxs folder):
Start-cmd right click run as administrator
In the dos window put:
dism /online /cleanup-image /spsuperseded
About five to ten min latter it will have cleared all the SP files up for you.
Space used before this: 105Gb
Spaced used after this: 103Gb
It should look like the below when done:
