Disable media player auto start thing

media player has this very annoying habbit of starting up every time put a DVD in. Im currently trying to rip some tv series that ive brought to my server and having to wait for media player to spring to life before i can close it (it opens full screen) is very annoying.

is there someway of disabling this? i can find anything in media player about it so i assume its in windows 7 istelf

I think control panel->Default programs can do all this.
Vista did it as well to a point.

Theres an autoplay options thing in control pannel, turned it off in there. Spot the person that managed to completely skip vista :p
