Ebuyer still won't take orders as they don't have stock, although they have upped their price by a penny to the round £50! Amazon are no longer listed on MS's site and Tesco Direct have been added, although it is still available on Amazon but they want £75 for Premium.
Just ordered my copy of Home Premium from PC World website, order taken with no problems they are doing it for £44.99 inc VAT and Free P+P, roll on October 22nd!
I have been playing about with the RC for a while now on a laptop and even a VLite'ed Beta version on a EEE PC and I like what I see so far!
Pre-Ordered my copy of Pro from PC World as they were cheapest for Pro :)
I'm sure there will be a copy for me on my Technet + account - most of MS stuff is........
Problem I'm having is the more I have to use MS stuff these days the more I hate it. Just a massive of WAD of bloated code....
Have run Wow in the past and other games and done this on Cedega and on the free WINE but it is nothing like as easy as running a game on Windows. An average family will have a at least one person that will want to play games. Ubuntu has got so damned easy to set up and use over the last year or two but on Linux in general gaming is poor. Even when the games do run they run with bad fps much of the time or with other glitches.
Windows 7 does look exciting though and i do want to play with it. Could not stomach Vista and still work mainly on XP at the min.
Ubuntu with all the eye candy addons can look amazing though. For a while i used it for my main PC.
Windows 7 for me though i think for a while!
Just ordered my copies of windows 7 Pro from PC World website:D. one for my Dell latitude D620 and one for my netbook HP2140.
What a surprise almost everyone has a PC that will run Vista/Windows 7 now but when Vista came out very few people had the hardware to run it so why would they buy it.Quote:
Amazon said that sales of Windows 7 in the first eight hours it was available outstripped those of Windows Vista's entire 17 week pre-order period.
Ordered mine from 'ahem' (says quietly) PC World as well :D
