The Group Policy Service failed the logon

Hi

I'm typing this message from my old laptop and not the one where the problem occurs.

I wondered if someone could help me.

Over the last couple of days when I turn on my laptop I get the message :


' The Group Policy Service failed the logon. Access denied'.

Then up pops an 'Ok' button (no other option is given). When I press that the computer restarts and I get taken to another blank screen apart from a button which has the following drop down options

- Restart
- Sleep
- Hibernate
- Shut down

I then choose restart or shutdown (I'v tried both many times) and I get sent to the first screen which says :

' The Group Policy Service failed the logon. Access denied'.

So I'm then back in the loop. I can't get into my computer and I would gratefully welcome any advoce on how I could get access into my computer again.
