Windows 7 Start Menu & Taskbar Issue
I have set up the relevant GPO necessary to redirect the Start Menu. However, I have some niggling issues with it.
Firstly, at initial logon, users get their redirected start menu and the recent programs list displays the software they've been clicking on during their course of being logged on.
When they log off and log back in again, the recent programs list is completely blank. In the All Programs an additional folder appears called 'Programs' and within it is an identical set of the redirected start menu.
Secondly, from the forum, I have found a script that pins items to the taskbar. On the first initial login this works. When the user logs off and logs back in again, the items disappear and users are not able to pin items (although they can it doesn't appear on the taskbar). With that said, when you go into Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch... there is a folder called User Pinned. It is hidden but has the pinned items inside of it. Unhiding it didn't do anything.
Has anybody experienced and if so, how did you overcome it? ANy solutions?
