The network icon/shortcut is removed from the desktop - but how do you make it disappear when you are say Saving a file in Word.
So in Word - go to File - Save and then in the left hand pane there are the libraries - OK, Drives - OK and then Network (would like that to go).

Found a way to do this in office -
IN GP install the Office 2010 ADM/ADMX files and goto
User Config/ Administrative templates/ Microsoft Office 2010 / File Open/Save dialog box
In PLaces bar location add the users home drive and any shares they will be able to save to
In the Restriucted browsing folder , set activate restricted browsing to all the office programs you want
In the approved locations - add in where they can browse too.
You are then left with the left hand side places bar showing only the Places Bar location you set before.
