Quick clarification RE - Win 7 Home Premium and Shares & Printers

Could anyone confirm or deny that a Home Premium install can access domain shares and printers as long as the local account and password are the same as the domain?

Does it need to be in a workgroup with the same name as the domain too?

As far as im aware they can access domain shares using a domain login without doing anything special, they are just unable to join a domain.
