    Robocopy not copying all files

    Hi,

I am using (or trying) to use robocopy to copy down some files to the client machines. I have created batch file to run at startup that copies down a mandatory profile to the C drive. I can using the /copyal & /mir switches.

If i run it manually it works a treat copies down all files.

When i run it as a startup script its missing out key files such as .MAN & .DAT files. It is also missing out desktop.ini files and ntuser.ini files.

Does anyone know why its deciding to miss these out please?

    Thanks

Are they getting locked at startup? You can use the /LOG:<filename> to get robocopy to generate a log which will tell you exactly what it has and hasn't done (and why).

I have had this with Robocopy before, try using the backup switch /B. Solved the problem for me.

    Hi

Its because the files where living in the netlogon folder. The computer had full read rights but wouldnt copy them down. I put the files in a share and they worked fine.

    Weird
