Movie Maker codecs?
Hi,
Im trying to get movie maker up and running to allow movies to be created from the Flip cameras that we have.
The cameras save in the mp4 format and play fine in windows media player but movie maker will not import them.
The movie maker is taken from a vista machine.
Is there a legal codec pack or a way to get movie maker to use media players codecs?
Many thanks,
Dan.

Im guessing on XP a legal codec would need to be found.
Is cccp codec legal?

7th December 2011, 12:36 PM #6 if i remember correctly, the standard Flip Videos work ok with XP Movie Maker, the problem is with the Flip HD varient.
I'm sure at the time we attempted to use umpteen different codecs (including the one on the FlipShare installation CD)

CCCP apparently works but im not sure how legal it is so we have now installed the live movie maker.
Unfortunatly there isnt a downloadable msi installer but we used AB Control to launch a script and its seems to work fine. MP4's from the flip cameras seem to work ok as well.
