    Recently Used Programs List

Our staff Start Menus have the recently used programs displayed, however our pupil ones do not - does anyone know where this is controlled? I've tried User Config > Policy > Admin > Start Menu, but can't see it in there, and none of the other GPOs look plausible either...

Hmm I have: User config -> policies -> Admin templates -> Start menu and taskbar -> remove recent items from start menu

edit: sorry I don't think that's what you are looking for, but I also have 'remove frequent programs list from start menu'

I have that in the user policies on the local machine if I do gpedit.msc from a client, but I can't find it in Group Policy Manager on the server...

Ok that's odd as its a Server 2003/XP setting so I it should be there.

Just a quick thought, you haven't got any filters applied or anything?

Oh just that if you right click on a folder when editing a group policy you can apply a filter to what is displayed. Long shot but just wondering if the setting isn't showing up because its being filtered.

Okay, found it now - I applied a filter and then removed it, and the item appeared. Oddness.
