MAK Product Key in Windows 7 Windows Deployment Services

I am doing Windows 7 installations with the attached two unattended xml files. They work fine. Only thing that does not work is the product key. It does not apply the product key and does not activate. I have to enter the key manually and activate. Has anybody done this before ? Please let me know.

WDSunattent.xml - applied at the server properties
Imageunattend.xml is applied at the image level.

The main difference I can see is towards the end. Mine reads:

    Code:
    catalog:c:/windows/system32/sysprep/install_windows 7 professional.clg
    I'm not using WDS however.

The way I did it here (before we got our KMS server set up) was to set up the unattend file to do an automatic first login as a local admin, then run a command line utility to enter the product key and activate windows. If you want to use it, the command line bits are...

    c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ipk XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
    c:\windows\system32\slmgr.vbs -ato

The first line enters whatever product key you enter, while the second line attempts to activate windows with your new key.

    Hope that helps.
