    Hyper -V on windows 7?

Is it possible? or am I resigned to something like virtual box?

I would be using it to create images and testing, not full time deployment.

its probably more hassle if even possible than installing 2008r2 and setting that up as a workstation

A 2k8 R2 install should work fine - here we have System Centre VMM and we have a old server dedicated to Hyper-V testing although most of the non-production virtual machine work we do is done using Virtual Box on local PCs.
