I am trying to add Windows 7 drivers to my 2003 print server. Whenever I try to download drivers from the HP site I get a time out error.
Example URL that times out:
Link: ftp:*/*/*ftp.*hp.*com/*pub/*softlib/*software11/*COL33807/*lj-*84320-*1/*P2055_default_in*stall_v6.*1_ww.*exe
Can anyone point me toward a website where I can get updated drivers for my network?
Google searches just land me at websites that do not have anything to offer [except games and useless utilities downloads]
Many thanks.

I get a timeout on Chrome and IE, but not Firefox? Which browser are you using?

28th July 2011, 09:13 AM #5 Thanks. This isn't the only driver I need though. I will take the Firefox approach and download each one in turn. The problem I am having now is getting the driver to apply properly at the server while still maintaining my XP drivers.

2nd August 2011, 11:12 AM #7 I have found the HP Universal Print Drivers work really well. We have a single driver for x86 and x64 installed on the server supporting all HP Lasers.

Have HP improved the login times yet? I tried the UPD last year and found if i deployed printers via GPP it increased the login times dramatically. It seemed to take some time to even install one printer.

The "Group policy printers policy" takes about 5-7seconds to install 1 HP (with UPD) and 2 Sharp MFP's on my machine.

3rd August 2011, 01:35 PM #10 As a tip Dave I would use Microsoft Update Catalog to source Windows 7 printer drivers, certainly the early drivers HP released for 7 caused lots of issues.
