    Laptops Working Offline

I think I've managed to enable offline files okay (thanks in the main to Synack's post in Windows 7 Offline Files), however the laptop isn't saving any local profiles. I've changed the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Winlogon\CachedLogonsCount= to 5 where previously it was 0, however profiles are still being deleted at logoff.

    What am I missing?

You checked to make sure you don't have it deleting them on GPOs?

There's one that deletes caches on logoff think it's:

Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\User Profiles\Delete cached copies of roaming profiles

    Thanks Steve, that sorted it.

It isn't synchronising properly though. If I change a file in MyDocs on the network, then it keeps that version as I go offline, but if I change it offline, it doesn't sync it back to the network at next logon. If I right-click MS Sync Center and click Sync All, it runs fine though.

Same question as above then :P Do you have the Sync files at logon disabled? But sync files at logoff enabled? If that makes sense. Or isnt' it syncing it anytime from laptop to pc (logon or off)?

Not that I can see - sync at logon and logoff are enabled at both user and computer level. Is there any way of seeing if another GPO is overriding that setting?

And the schedule is showing for it? (In offline files bit) Just wondering if it's not actually applied it, or if it's just being silly :P

If you click on the offline folder a schedule button appears next to the other one at the top.

No it doesn't. Possibly worth stating that the folder I'm syncing is the whole user share (i.e. \\servername\username$) which is also a mapped drive - could be why I'm not seeing the same options...

You looking at this from the server end? Each laptop has it's own sync schedule.

Sorry, I do have that. My bad.

Only when logged in as administrator though. Indeed, when logged in as a regular user, I can't even open the Sync Center. That could be because I've disabled all the non-essential Control Panel options, so presumably stopped users from accessing the Sync Center - I'll change that and see how much I fix...
