I have Impero 3.1 on about 200 clients here with no problems at all

Verion 2 will not run on Windows 7 however version 3 should be no problem. If give me a pm with your details I will gadly give you a call and help you though getting it installed.

We currently use Impero version 3.108 to monitor a combined total of around 700 Windows Xp and 7 machines with no issues.
The software is very easy to use and easy to install on client computers.

No problems with 3.1 and 200 workstations here either. You should just be able to roll it out from the console.
