Does anyone know of a way to disable the network icon via GPO, which appears when you open the 'Computer' icon windows on Windows 7? We are testing on our network and its just about the last loophole as it shows a complete browse list!
Have looked through GPMC until my eyes spin and can't see anything that relates to it - not saying its not there of course.
Thanks in advance.

5th May 2011, 06:46 PM #4 With group policy preferences you can create
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\NonEnum\{F02C1A0D-BE21-4350-88B0-7367FC96EF3C}
Type = DWORD
Value = 1

Any .adm templates for doing the same in the Explorer pane with Favorites?
EDIT - nevermind, taking the plunge and knocking one up myself. Will put it up if successful.

For anyone else looking for this information you can find some here: remove network icon from navigation pane . Also a link there for the removing the libraries and uninstall or change a program button.
