    They spent ages telling me once that the problem I had with Mapping network drives hanging was actually a securus issue.

    I have had issues when it made explorer crash. Also once it decided that it didnt want to let adobe reader open.

    Could be the issue here too then as we run Securus. Mind you it hasn't happened quite so often recently since we installed the latest Securus client. Never thought that woul dhave been the cause!

    Current client version 7.00.25

    The Adobe Reader and Securus issue is a known problem. You have to untick the "Enable Protected Mode at startup" checkbox under the General settings of Reader.

    I've Spoken with Securus today who has given me a new Client Version (not actually looked at it yet!) which apparently addresses the issue.

    Although they appear to have now broken my securus device (well stopped the services anyway!)

    The client that was causing the problem is Securus Client v7.00.20 v4 and updating to Securus Client v7.00.25 v7.msi fixes it.

    I can confirm it must be something installed, as I don't have this problem on any network (all kinds of hardware) and I'm not using Securus.

    Is there anybody that is still having this issue? We re-imaged a lot of our IT suites over the summer (all running Win 7 SP1) and all have Securus client V7.00.30 but the log off issue still happens.

    For us it was the client and the problem went away after re-installing across the network. We are currently still on v7.00.25 v7 with no issues.

    Y'know what, this has been happening here for over a year and I've never questioned it. Securus version 7.00.20. Looks like I'm phoning their support today then...

    I should have guessed, really. It's always Securus. When we first got Smoothwall we had problems with tabs randomly crashing out, spent ages going back and forth with SW support, trying to work out a pattern with sites, find out what was causing it... turns out Securus didn't like it if you used port 800 for your proxy, which we'd switched to when we moved to the Smoothwall, and it was a known issue for their support. Would've been nice if they'd let everyone know, on the off chance it was an issue, rather than leaving me to waste hours tracking it down. I've had cause to be very appreciative of the Securus box in the past, but by the gods it's a PITA.
