I upgraded from Outlook Express and XP, to W7 and Live Mail 2011, using the transfer wizard.
Previously I had set Outlook Express to always open emails in plain text, and I only opened the ones I trusted in HTML.
Emails still open in pain text, and most of them are accompanied with a large “E”. Clicking on this enables me to open in them HTML.
A few, such as those from Tom-Tom, do not have this “E”, and will not open in HTML, and have all sorts of odd symbols.
The ‘work-round’ is to click ‘reply’, when I can see them normally in their full Technicolor glory.
This causes me no problem, but I am curious to know as what is happening, and think that it might interest other readers.
