I have fixed this issue by turning off UAC
Thanks

How have you guys got SIMS to work on x64 Windows 7?
Every time I install it on my test machine, it fails when it tries to install the 16-bit components. I vaguely remember something about a fix from Capita, but I'm getting old now and my memory isn't what it used to be..........
I turn off the UAC then run:
SIMSApplicationSetup.exe /S {QuietMode} {NoServerApps} [SIMSDotNetDirectory]="%PROGRAMFILES%\SIMS\SIMS.net"
Seems to run great.
I found help here:
Installing SIMS.net on Windows 7 64-Bit
Everything works except T4. I have UAC on and it runs fine. I think you will find the UAC is prompted by it trying to update one of the sims.ini or other ini files in the program files or windows folder.
