    win 7 32bit can ping 2003 r2 with exchange 2003 on

This a strange issue that even dell ent suport are struggling with.

My office pc runs win 7 32 bit and has done for over a month fine.
Last thursday i suddenly wasn't able to access my email or even ping the server.

    Heres some info:
    One subnet
    no vlans
    works with win xp pro
    not cabling
    not switch
have turned of UAC and firewall both sides.
    new M-board on pc
all other pc in school can access the server.
both server and pc have had bios and nic updates.
have tried static ip on pc
tried ping with ip as well as host name, so not dns
    subnet 255.255.0.0
both can ping other hosts including other 2003 servers
    both can ping them selves
    both have working internet etc

have looked on so many forums and sites and there are issues with 64 bit win 7 and ping etc, but i'm on 32 bit.

I hope some one knows how to help me, cos its doing my head in.
    server ip 192.168.3.201
    pc ip 192.168.4.20

Do you have kaspersky and if so has the outbreak policy kicked in just on your computer? This threw me the other day.
