Hi Guys,
Can anyone help me convert a SWF file to a FLA file. Is there any software or anything like that?
Thanks
See if you can get one of those to work then without having trial restrictions etc. "free!"
I don't recon I would be using edugeek if I didn't know how to use google my friend.
Grateful for your help mind.
Possibly VLC
How to convert .FLV(Flash) to .WMV, .AVI or any other format?
If not then either handbrake or media coder / super coder

Thank You :-)
Coincidence as I was just using VLC to convert it - yes you were right.
Thanks
no problem![]()
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that VLC only convert's .swf's into other media types, not .fla's which are Flash projects?
If you are looking for a free .swf to .fla convert, I think you may be out of luck. As far as I know, it's quite a legal tangle when it comes to converting .swf's to .fla's, and there are no free (legally, that is) programs out there.
Again, please correct me if I'm wrong. (No seriously, please, I want a program like this too!)

I agree, as VLC didn't work for me after all, but I am still eager to find a free SWF to FLA convertor.
I can only find paid for ones ie
Flash Decompiler - SWF decompiler can convert swf to fla/Flex, decompile swf to flex, decompile flash and catch flash movies
not sure what if any restrictions the free one has though
The un-registered non-free ones usually cripple it in some way, like removing the actionscript.
Also most of them don’t spit out the .fla file, but instead provide an editor that spits it out as a .swf again.
