    Symantec antivirus corporate

Anyone know if symantec corporate antivirus works on windows 7 yet?

I have the latest version from fileconnect but it only mentions vista and windows 2008

    Symantec_Antivirus_Corporate_Edition_10.2.3_AllWin _EN_CD2

    What antivirus are people using?

Is it still needed with windows 7?

Version 11 is Symantec Endpoint Protection, and that works fine on 7. Last I knew, Symantec dropped SAV CE for Endpoint Protection.

    mr4 version

ensure you use endpoint MR4 if installing it on workstations, as the earlier versions don't work too well. Mr4 is good, but it wont work with cleanslate software that we use here, so i am gradually phasing out symantec in favour of ?????
perhaps nod32, or dit defender... i am testing now

    save me the 'leg work'

can anyone recommend me an alternative anti-virus that has a 'corporate feel' to it, that will allow me to select which components i want during install, or edit them at a later date.
Symantec endpoint will allow me to edit the components, but it just won't work with Cleanslate, it somehow stops the user that logs on recieving the default desktop etc.
I basically just want a real time antivirus scanner, i don't really need anti-spyware, or firewall, or other such bunkum

so far i have tested :-
bitdefender - to frilly, and cant remove additional components
nod32 - still too much there, and annoying splash screens, lots of setup required.

i need to spend more time with these products, but i am trying to avoid hacking the registry, or writing MST files.
    so far things look Grim

Symantec just released Endpoint Protection 11.0.5 yesterday, which fully supports Windows 7. Earlier versions, I kept getting an incompatible driver error, and not all the modules worked.

Why on earth would ANYONE wanna use Symantec Endpoint Protection - anywhere I've used that and sadly had to deploy it, its always caused problems!

Back in the days of Symantec Anti-Virus Corporate Edition 8, 9 and 10 used to be good!................version 11 now called Endpoint is just awful!!
