Considering that Microsoft are based in the US - it may be another few hours yet as most of them are probably still in bed! lol
Nooooo!!
That can't be right. Microsoft have billed themselves as an international company, so if I lived in China I would be expecting to have my hands on this by now.
Volume licensing shouldn't be out until tomorrow (7th Aug) I thought...?
Technet and MSDN are today IIRC... - not sure if its just OEM version or if the VL ISO's will be there...
"As always, current Windows Volume License customers, MSDN subscribers and TechNet subscribers will get first customer access, getting Windows 7 on August 6 (MSDN/TechNet) and August 7 (VL), and Windows Server 2008 R2 the second half of August."

That'll be Aug6th 9am Pacific Daylight Time - which is 5pm.
5 o'clock!! Shocking and outrageous!!
Right, off to go and find comfort food now.
Tsk, tsk tsk
What's nice is we should also get it on MVLS today as well (as long as we have school agreements)
Microsoft UK Schools News Blog : Windows 7 availability date announced ? 7th August for many
Got some DC upgrades waiting on this![]()
ugh wait a sec, am I right in that we can not get hold of 2008 R2 officially until the 19th or later?
(seen here Microsoft UK Schools News Blog : Free Event - Windows 7 & Windows Server 2008 R2 ? 21 Aug 2009)
That... really sucks >.< That's what I want the most, The sooner it is released offically, the sooner we can upgrade our DC's and 2008 member servers![]()
edit: Just read that it's August 14th for technet/MSDN but it's still an annoying delay!

R2 will have all the GPOs for Windows 7 -
Most can be controlled with 2008 but ther are some newer stuff that cant (libraries, new taskbar, etc..)
People are rolling out Win7 straight away?! I rate it very highly but I'm not sure I'd be that gung-ho
edit: love the signature!![]()
Been using Win7 since the Rc came out and had no problems with it thus far.. in fact its outperformed better than vista ever did...
