Default RTM - 13th July

Only 10 days left to go by the look of it.

Yes, Windows 7 really will RTM in ten days

I wouldnt mind using it, but Im not going to pay for it. My laptop came with vista business which I downgraded to XP, if they would let me upgrade for free using my vista license I would do it, but until I have to eventually buy a new pc that it comes bundled on, I shan't be using it.

well when it is released I will be downloading and installing it. No point in waiting to use a perfectly good system. Runs everything I need it to run and does the job perfectly aswell!

Can't wait, Been running RC on a production laptop and not a single problem. Nows thats a statement for a Microsoft product! I was just getting into my Linux distro's as well.

Trust me 7 is so much better than Vista. Why can't Microsoft get it right first time...

They made such a collosal error in terms of windows vista, and took the time to listen to people and make it how people want it, much in the same way ubuntu did. If you look, ubuntu has more users than vista, but windows 7 RC already has more user than ubuntu, coincidence?

well in terms of success for MS, it went 2.0 > 3.11 > 95 > 2000 > xp > 7
in terms of failures for MS it went 3.1 > 3.12 > 98 (se) > ME > vista

does anyone see a pattern emerge?
