Looking forward to it I think it will be fairly prompt after final build confirmation and the press of the new media goes ahead to the VL site as Vista has been not that well taken up they will hope that we will really go for Windows 7 like mad. I must admit I am keen to try it in a more enterprise environment as I think it will be a good move and must admit I am thinking it will actually run well on a good chunk of our hardware

Looking forwards to this. I just hope the Antivirus companies will have got their products working by release.

Any pre-order links kicking around yet? *Hint hint suppliers*

    quick ?

maybe its me but that seems a lille quick to me, not sure if they would have time to change anything from previous releases, but that is assuming they actually listen and act on feedback. I think its much better than vista, but you still can't do what you could with windows xp as easily.

What things just out of curiosity?

Windows 7 has been near completion for ages so MS have been waiting for RC feedback to see if there are any big problems, as far as I can tell there aren't many so they shouldn't need to change much so It won't take long to sign it off and punt it out. By comparison Vista still had big problems even in RC.

yes, it's fine with steam games, world of warcraft etc. The only games you will have issues with are those that use punkbuster, which is down to evenbalance refusing to support the RC and add it's dll as legal.

Can't say I've found any issues even with my ATI card, I ran the beta and the RC as my main OS and played plenty of games, mostly ones that were designed back when XP was the business, but they're all still good and happy.
