    I have a macro which I load at start up. I'm out of office for the week but when I'm back I can post it up for you.

    The macro defaults it to arial 10.5 single spacing (I believe). Add it to the template in the office folder (normal.dotx) and it should be golden.

    here is the subroutine for it.

    Code:
    Sub ChangeFont()
        With ActiveDocument.Styles("Normal").Font
            .Name = "Arial"
            .Size = 10.5
            .Bold = False
            .Italic = False
            .Underline = wdUnderlineNone
            .UnderlineColor = wdColorAutomatic
            .StrikeThrough = False
            .DoubleStrikeThrough = False
            .Outline = False
            .Emboss = False
            .Shadow = False
            .Hidden = False
            .SmallCaps = False
            .AllCaps = False
            .Color = wdColorAutomatic
            .Engrave = False
            .Superscript = False
            .Subscript = False
            .Scaling = 100
            .Kerning = 0
            .Animation = wdAnimationNone
        End With
        With ActiveDocument.Styles("Normal")
            .AutomaticallyUpdate = False
            .BaseStyle = ""
            .NextParagraphStyle = "Normal"
        End With
    End Sub

    load up your normal.dot file, press ALT+F11, paste the code into the VB, save it, restart word. Enjoy.

    not sure on network wide without replacing all of the normal.dot files.
