robocopy doesn't work with proper syntax

    F:\iPhoto Library\Masters\2013\12\09\20131209-211435>robocopy IMG_0882.MOV i:\

I get Error 267. "The directory name is invalid." Which is impossible since I cd'd it to the subfolder "20131209-211435" and then xcopied (no results) then robocopied it (no results either, except for the error message[s]). I also created a destination folder after i:\. No go.

You are getting that error because the syntax you're using is wrong. IMG_0882.MOV is not the source directory, it's a file.

As you can see in the example below, the files to copy is specified between the destination folder and the options.

    Code:
    RoboCopy "F:\iPhoto Library\Masters" "I:\iPhoto Library\Masters" *.mov /E
    More Info: Robocopy « SS64
