    Power Management

Since upgrading to windows 7, all of our machines go into stand by mode after 5 minutes when a user logs in (screen goes black, ESC to wake up). Whilst this is a great way to save energy the teachers are not happy with it cutting out mid powerpoint! fair enough.

    I have tried:

Logging in as domain admin changing the power settings - didnt work/ save them
Logging in as local admin changing the power settings - didnt work/ save them
Creating a power management GPO and pushing it out - didnt work

    Any other ideas please?

We used group policy preferences. Its a machine policy and works just fine.
