    Disbale single click windows 7

    Good Morning Everyone

I am having an issue disabling single click on our windows 7 image I have tried the below with no avail any other ideas? Thanks

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\ShellState

It is a binary value. example: 24000000332800000000000000000000000000000100000012 0000000000000022000000

    6th pair 28 which 40 in dex = 32 + 8

if the 32 mapping bit is 1 then it is double click

if the 32 mapping bit is 0 then it is single click.

Get and use something like regshot ( to take a before and after snapshot and it should allow you to compare any changes ) to see whats changes its making and should see what its doing to make the changes take effect ( hopefully )

    http://code.google.com/p/regshot/

    http://sourceforge.net/projects/regshot/

Use the normal way of changing the setting ( presumably as per the below link )

Reading the forum ( sevenforums ) it says to either set ClassicShell to 0 or to delete the key. Presume you tried deleting the classicshell reg key as well ?

Eventually find one registry key did the trick.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\ShellState

It is a binary value. example: 24000000332800000000000000000000000000000100000012 0000000000000022000000

    6th pair 28 which 40 in dex = 32 + 8

if the 32 mapping bit is 1 then it is double click

if the 32 mapping bit is 0 then it is single click. (based on my test)

Back to this orginal point how would it need to look for a double click this value?

See if this link works. Should be a 7z file that contains six or so screen grabs and 3 reg files ( I believe it's only the top part of each reg file that you need but left them as is )

Reg opt one is the first option for single click

Reg opt two is the 2nd radio button or option for single click

Reg opt three is for double click

    Hope this helps
