Bit of a strange one this.
I'm using the PaperCut supplied msi to deploy the client to my RM CC4 machines however the msi doesn't have a kill command to kill the pc-client.exe process prior to removing or upgrading. This causes the install/uninstall to fail so am looking to add a manual kill step to the procedure. I've created a batch file which runs "taskkill" followed by the installer with the relevant switch.
Install:Uninstall:Code:taskkill /F /IM pc-client.exe timeout /t 10 /nobreak msiexec /i pc-client-admin-deploy.msi /qnWhen run manually this appears to work a treat however, when running via RM deployment it's successful but no entry is added to the "Programs and Features" list. I'm a bit stumped as to why this isn't added when called from a batch file.....!?Code:taskkill /F /IM pc-client.exe timeout /t 10 /nobreak msiexec /x pc-client-admin-deploy.msi /qn
I'm well aware of the zero-install option but this isn't suitable for a CC4 environment.
