Remove "Run as Administrator" context right click menu

    Hi

Sorry, can't see for looking today. Is there a way to remove the run as administrator right click menu, either via a registry key or a GPO?

    Thanks
    Andrew

OK, so after a bit of digging, the following reg key turns it off for everyone but I'm still looking for a HKCU way of doing it so staff can have it enabled and students have it disabled...

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Policies\Explorer
    DWORD - HideRunAsVerb : 1

Why bother? unless they actually have an admin password they can't do anything with it, why hack it out if they can't do any damage with it?

Because if they enter their own username and password into the login box it screws up my application blocker software I wrote as the game then runs in a different memory space than I'm scanning...

Easier to kill the prompt than rewrite the software

Can't you just set it to auto deny any attempts to raise privelages through GPO?

Don't even let students get to the stage of putting username/password in here.

Define the UAC Group Policy Settings

Edit - Example: Standard user - Automatically deny elevation requests
