    Disconnect Users remotely

    Hi all,
I regularly have to use machines that other administrative users have locked (Windows+L). Is there a way that I can disconnect their session so it runs in the background whilst I get on with the work that I need to do?

The way I've been doing it so far is to ask another technician to initiate a remote desktop which takes the machine back to the logon screen but still keeps the session - is it possible to do it a slightly quicker way? EG have a command line program from another technicians ? Or a button on the lock screen that you can type in your username and password?

I did try tsdiscon but I couldn't make it work.

    Thanks in advance,

    Bryn

I just force them off and restart the machine with this command!

    shutdown -r -t 1 -m \\pcname

That's not what I want to do. The old user HAS to stay logged on in the background as they may have work open.

If it is a client operating system (windows 7, vista, etc) then you won't be able to disconnect the session becuase there is only 1 session! If there is an option to switch user, then that would work.
