Is it possible to force an application Window open on top of any other open Windows

We have an application run at a specific time, would it be possible to do this via Registry hack as this is an application that we have not created ourselves so can not hard code into the app itself.

We would like the feature to work on both Windows 7 and Windows XP if possible.

    Cheers

You could use a VBS script to do it, You can pick what status the program opens up in (Assuming the program allows that option in the first place).

    Examples:

0 Hide the window and activate another window.
1 Activate and display the window. (restore size and position) Specify this flag when displaying a window for the first time.
    2 Activate & minimize.
    3 Activate & maximize.
4 Restore. The active window remains active.
    5 Activate & Restore.
6 Minimize & activate the next top-level window in the Z order.
7 Minimize. The active window remains active.
8 Display the window in its current state. The active window remains active.
9 Restore & Activate. Specify this flag when restoring a minimized window.
10 Sets the show-state based on the state of the program that started the application.
    .Run | VBScript | SS64.com

Could do it other ways too, but depends how complicated you need it.

Re: Is it possible to force...

If I remember right there are DLL calls that can easily change the focus to a specific window handle. Perhaps a custom launcher application that opens the exe, thus getting its window handle then setting the window and control focus to the required app. Just because you didn't write the app does not mean you can't puppet it via windows handles.
