Just out of interest about how many printers will people be using this for totally? For example we have about 40.
Also will use lot want to be able to have printers under different section like I have? Using a config file, hard coded.
Or would people prefure a MySQL backend to this or would use all like it to run with just php and no MySQL needed.
Just wanting to know as at the moment most of it is hard coded.
Thanks
We have about 90 printers, differnet sections would be great. Hard coded will be fine, as long as it's well commented so we can edit as printers change/get moved around.

Hard coded is fine , like clareq said lond as its commented should be fine.. rather keep it simple than link to sql i think it looks great tho... so looking forward to seeing some code...
Do you guys know of any free or cheap hosting around here just I have an update function I will build into the script to bring all the latest goodies?
Thanks for the clarification will knock it something up tomorrow
I like it I use Kyocera throughout..
Looks awesome just what I need..
hard coded or MySQL. Whatever is easiest for you. As clareq says, just comment it to allow easy editing.
We have around 40 printers too, all of which have been mentioned.
how about something like these guys Free Website Hosting Plans | 5GBFree.com
haven't used free hosting so can't vouch for them. Most free hosting will be ad supported
Very nice, I would personally use SNMP instead of cURL though.
How, exactly? One of my projects is being used at my previous workplace and I'd like to be able to check my host periodically for updates, in say a ../updates/ folder. If X.zip > Y(current).zip, print "Update available" with a link to the file. Is this what you have?
