Probs with Smooth Gallery on Joomla Template

Hiya,

My Smooth gallery component / module wouldnt work right i couldnt get into it without getting code errors. So i uninstalled it deleted anything that was in the component and module folders associated with the smooth gallery. I then re uploaded and installed the smooth gallery component. It was all going so well.

But, When i tried to install the component part i got a SQL error message. Without looking in my MYSQL book at home i cant decipher the problem behind this one. I think i've got a duplicate MYSQL record. I might be able to knock it out through the mysql terminal but just wondered if anybody has experienced the same sort of thing in the past before i start messing with sql scripts.

Ive had the exact same problem, i just put it down to it running under windows and something not being quite right. Am i right??

Looking at your pic it seems that the smooth gallery database tables still exist. Try uninstalling the component again and the droping the tables via phpmyadmin.

Then try to reinstall
